Despite its location, the first impression the medical clinic leaves is of anything but a hospital environment. Warm materials, friendly colours and green plants have been used extensively.

Several general practitioners in Frederikshavn are based at the Frederikshavn medical clinic. They have also expanded the facilities to make room for training doctors, a midwife, a physiotherapist and several nurses.

The interior layout is very flexible, with high utilisation of the consultation rooms placed along the outside walls. There is an emergency room located in the centre of the clinic, which has all the associated equipment installed.

Warm interior design elements

Troldtekt acoustic panels have been used throughout all rooms, literally bringing tranquility to the medical clinic – where the acoustics are an important factor in waiting and consultation rooms alike.

Arkitektfirmaet Hovaldt has achieved the welcoming and warm style that permeates the newly renovated clinic in close consultation with the doctors.

The waiting areas have been designed as small niches, in which wooden strips underscore the friendly atmosphere. Wood has also been used for the floors in the consultation rooms. Soft blue and green hues complement the wood and add variation to the rooms.

The ceilings have also been carefully designed, with excellent integration between the Troldtekt acoustic panels and the lighting.
