The new building is directly situated at the access road of Galder and therefore has a prominent location in the village. The roof shape is typical for the surrounding buildings and helps minimise the footprint of the new building. The village square, which is located at the street side, visually and physically carries on through into the new building by the glass fronts that can be opened.

The canteen with the spacious terrace located at the back, offers a beautiful view of the sports fields. Shade is provided by the structural canopies. The choise for a sedum roof is part of the sustainable vision of the Municipality of Alphen-Chaam. The materialisation of the new building consists mainly of natural materials in natural tones: wooden facade cladding, wood-wool cement ceilings and 100% recyclable floor finishes.
