About acoustics
Room acoustics is an important, but often overlooked parameter for whether a building is functional. At Troldtekt, we want architects, in particular, to increase their focus on good acoustics in practice.
We have therefore teamed up with the Danish acoustics expert Jan Voetmann, who, in his folder on acoustics and architecture, "About acoustics - Good tones in the architecture", provides an introduction to room acoustics under the following headings:
- Key acoustic terms
- Reverberation and absorption
- Different absorber types
- Good acoustics
- Speech intelligibility and speech intelligibility goals
- Acoustics glossary
The partnership between Troldtekt and Jan Voetmann is the result of a shared interest in increasing focus on acoustics in architecture. Because it is possible to combine aesthetically beautiful solutions and good acoustics – it is just a question of incorporating acoustics into the architecture.
