Escape the everyday in Nautiland

Like the Nautilus, Captain Nemo’s fictional submarine evoked by Jules Verne long ago, Nautiland in Würzburg, Bavaria allows you to escape the earthly world.

The completely new training, sports, family and leisure pool, which resembles a boomerang-shaped spaceship from the outside, invites visitors - of every age, status and standing - to leave their worries at the door and escape the mundane day-to-day.

Back in 2016, Würzburg city council decided to replace the old Nautiland baths from 1990, which were technically outdated and in need of much renovation, with a new building on the same site.

Covering an area of almost 5,800 square metres and with water spread over more than 1,000 square metres, today Nautiland offers a range of indoor and outdoor swimming and adventure pools with bubble jets, diving boards and loungers as well as a large wellness and sauna area with garden, pond and Kneipp walk.

Eateries with indoor and patio seating invite you to linger to have a snack or full meal.

Action fans will love the 87 metre long flume with futuristic LED effects and timer. A small slide in the shape of a dolphin as well as several water games are also available in the children's paddling pool, which, in contrast to the other stainless steel pools, is colourfully tiled.

Both the spacious swim hall, which is around 80 metres long and 7 metres high, and the adjacent sauna area are flooded with light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass facade.

In keeping with the beige floor tiles, Troldtekt acoustic panels, which are suitable for wet rooms, were used on the ceiling and walls. The homogeneous ceiling made of cement-bonded wood wool naturally complements the green outdoor areas.

The panels, made of sustainable wood and cement, perfectly absorb noise and thus reduce reverberation times and noticeably improve the experience of Nautiland.
