About Troldtekt’s certification
Troldtekt is Cradle to Cradle-certified in the gold category.
The certification covers the full product portfolio of Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool panels in natural wood, natural grey and painted in the standard colours white 101, grey 202, charcoal grey 208 and black 207. The certification also covers the non-combustible Troldtekt A2 panels, Troldtekt agro panels, and Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM.
Advancement thanks to new paint recipes
From March 2022, Troldtekt’s entire line of cement-bonded wood wool products has advanced from Silver to Gold certification. The new Gold certification has been achieved after switching to new paint recipes in production. Based on a newer and more sustainable paint preservation technology, Troldtekt has obtained Platinum certification for material health, which is one of the five Cradle to Cradle certification categories.
The new Gold certification is a so-called interim certification, as Troldtekt is not due to be re-certified under the Cradle to Cradle scheme until 2023. The interim certification is being issued in accordance with Cradle to Cradle version 3.1, while the re-certification will be issued in accordance with version 4.0.

Cradle to Cradle scorecard
The table shows Troldtekt’s score at the Cradle to Cradle interim certification in 2022.
Material Reutilisation, Renewable Energy and Social Fairness are all at C2C gold level, while Water Stewardship is still at platinum level.
