New design series nominated for German Design Award
The series of Troldtekt® design solutions is in the running for the prestigious design prize awarded by the German Design Council.
In spring 2019 we launched a new range of design solutions that make it possible to combine good acoustics and a healthy indoor climate with a distinctive look. This series has now been nominated for the German Design Award 2020, to be awarded in February 2020.
The awards are granted to projects and products that make a ground-breaking new contribution to the German and international design landscape.
“Among architects, in particular, we see great potential in our nine new design solutions, and the nomination for the prestigious award only confirms this. This recognition can help raise awareness of the solutions internationally,” says Peer Leth, CEO of Troldtekt A/S.
It’s all about the surface
The new solutions encourage architects to create their own patterns and rhythms in the design – and vary and scale individual designs. It gives them great freedom to harmonise form and function in all types of buildings.
The design solutions are mass-produced, drawing on CNC technology. This means they are competitively priced. All the solutions result in ceilings or walls that you experience as a large cohesive unit. It’s not about the panel, but the surface.
Products from Troldtekt have won the German Design Award on three prior occasions. Most recently in 2019, when our acoustic ceiling with concealed ventilation was among the winners.
