New design solutions win prestigious international award
Troldtekt® design solutions have been named winner of the German Design Award 2020. The solutions, which enable architects to combine superior acoustics with characterful designs, have now received two distinguished awards from the German Design Council.
In spring 2019, we launched the new series of Troldtekt design solutions. Since then, the series has won an ICONIC Award, and is now also being honoured with the German Design Council’s foremost prize, the German Design Award 2020.
Troldtekt design solutions have won in the ‘Excellent Product Design – Material and Surfaces’ category. The jury said the following about Troldtekt design solutions:
‘The acoustic panels allow for the design of large, seemingly homogeneous surfaces. The seams are virtually invisible and give the surfaces a high-quality, elegant look. The panels are available in different patterns and shades, which unfold their fascinating effect especially compellingly on seamless surfaces.’
The German Design Award 2020 will be officially presented in February 2020. The awards are given to projects and products that make a ground-breaking new contribution to the German and international design landscape.
Proud of design awards
Troldtekt design solutions enable architects to create their own patterns and rhythms in interiors – and to vary and scale the individual designs. All the solutions result in ceilings and walls that you experience as large cohesive surfaces. The design solutions are mass-produced, drawing on CNC technology, so they are competitively priced.
This is the fourth time that a Troldtekt product has won a German Design Award. In 2015, Troldtekt® wave won the award, with the diamond-shaped acoustic panel Troldtekt® rhomb winning it in 2017. In 2019, Troldtekt’s acoustic ceiling with concealed ventilation was one of the winning products.
