Instagram personality: Interior designer chooses Troldtekt for farm renovation
Ida Lundsteen, the face behind the Instagram profile @indtaenk, was looking for a good acoustic solution for her new modern farmhouse near Holbæk. After a visit to Troldtekt’s showroom in Copenhagen, Ida chose white-painted Troldtekt acoustic panels.
In October 2024, Ida Lundsteen and her family took over a disused farm at Tuse Næs with beautiful views of Holbæk. Together with a couple of friends, they bought the farm with a separate wing each and the desire to create a farm life with plenty of space, an outdoor lifestyle and delightful living quarters.
An old farm requires a loving touch. For more than six months now, Ida Lundsteen and her husband have been busy renovating. The family's wing has a very special room, which is 15 metres long and has a sloping ceiling with beautiful tie beams and collar beams. This calls for an effective acoustic solution that respects the details and history of the room.
That’s why Ida visited Troldtekt’s showroom in Copenhagen to choose the right acoustic solution for their new home.
A solution focusing on function and aesthetics
It was important for Ida to find an acoustic solution that supported the room’s original look - without compromising on functionality.
“In many ways, it’s a wild room with a lot going on, which is why we needed a uniform, but also a raw solution. I was actually rather doubtful as to whether we would find it in practice, but fortunately there it was at Troldtekt. We got a lot of help from the consultants at the showroom, so we were well equipped for making the right choice,” says Ida Lundsteen.
They decided on white-painted Troldtekt acoustic panels with an extreme fine structure, and Ida and her family have certainly not regretted it.
“We’re just so excited about the result. The many tie beams and collar beams are allowed to stand out in the room, with the Troldtekt panels supporting the beautiful ceiling, which really gives the room character. And the acoustics in the large room are just fantastic,” says Ida.
