Troldtekt boosts its personal service with an expanded Danish internal sales team of eight employees

In March, Troldtekt A/S further strengthened its customer service capacity.  Building engineer Morten Bundgaard Andersen has joined the technical support team. Accessibility and personalised consultation are key priorities for the team, which finds that customers have to navigate more complex requirements than ever before.

Acoustics and design, CO2 emissions and reutilisation, logistics and installation. Every day, architects, contractors and tradespeople call Troldtekt’s internal sales department for support and advice. They can continue to do so, with the team now eight employees strong in Denmark alone. This is in addition to the six external sales consultants.

The newest addition to the customer support team is 30-year-old Morten Bundgaard Andersen. He is a trained carpenter and building engineer and comes from a position in the insurance industry where he worked with structural damage assessments. At Troldtekt, he is now working in tandem with Søren Jakobsen in technical support.

"When customers choose Troldtekt, they get an effective, robust and distinctive acoustic solution. But equally important to us is ensuring they have an excellent experience with the product. Service, support and close collaboration on projects are areas where we aim to set high standards," says Ole Villumsen, Head of Denmark Sales at Troldtekt A/S.

New requirements require concrete solutions

Ole Villumsen finds that the cumulative demands on construction projects have increased in recent years. Consequently, manufacturers need to be available and provide proper documentation.

"Particularly in terms of sustainability, the bar has been raised, with new CO2 requirements, EU taxonomy rules and a focus on reutilisation. This is a positive step, but it does mean more work for the industry. We want to help with accurate documentation and concrete answers," he says and adds:

"One of the latest initiatives is our return scheme for construction site offcuts. This scheme allows contractors to utilise the waste produced from Troldtekt panels in the construction process, thereby reducing the construction project's climate footprint. The reutilisation of waste is one of the new requirements that many in the industry are facing.

The personal relationship matters

Troldtekt’s personal service includes professional consulting on construction engineering issues, advice and guidance for specific construction projects, as well as precise measurements based on drawings and tender submissions. In addition, customers have access to environmental product declarations (EPDs), drawing material, an online acoustics calculator, free samples and flexible delivery to the building site.

"The most important thing is that customers can always call or email with their questions and requirements for specific projects. After that, we’ll make sure they get quick support to move forward. We know that time is often a scarce resource in construction," says Ole Villumsen and continues:

"We prioritise personal relationships, and for larger projects we're often involved throughout the entire process, from the tender submission to the kick-off meeting on the building site. Sometimes we can provide the best answers by being physically present. This is possible because we have a broad team, where members also possess deep expertise in their field," says Ole Villumsen.
