Atmosphere in Sydhavnen
In the newly developed 'Engholmene' district of Sydhavnen in Copenhagen, Bjørn & Delfino Restaurant has established itself as an atmospheric local haunt, the kind of place where you always know what you're in the mood to eat.

While Engholmene is mainly residential, its streetscapes house various businesses, primarily cafes and restaurants. It's an ideal location, with views of the water or even the option to sit at the water's edge. The restaurant's quirky name (literally, 'the bear and the dolphin') comes from that summer feeling when you feel as carefree and playful as a dolphin — mirrored in its light, fish-focused menu. In the winter months, the place takes on more of a bear's den-like atmosphere.
Large glass doors blur the boundaries between the restaurant's interior and exterior dining areas, with the two distinct spaces drawing inspiration from Mediterranean culture. Though located in a residential area of Sydhavnen, the place attracts guests from across Copenhagen due to its atmosphere and high-quality offerings.
Acoustics are here to stay
Skilfully designed within a raw concrete space, the restaurant is enhanced with elements of wood, colours, textiles and art. The eclectic style is accentuated by vintage furniture and woven lamps from Made by Hand, the restaurant's next-door neighbour. The space's charm is enhanced by brilliant acoustics, invisible yet distinguished by a ceiling with integrated lines.
The Troldtekt ceiling provides effective sound absorption and adds a design element with its precise lines. The colour black is popular in restaurants as it adds cosiness and conceals lighting fixtures, among other things. Bjørn & Delfino restaurant is part of the Gorm group, and the owners have gained experience over time from customers' expectations for brilliant acoustics. Integrating these into Bjørn & Delfino has been a top priority from the outset and began when it was being built.
