Europe’s largest exhibition of materials designed for circular construction is now travelling to the international building exhibition Building Holland in Amsterdam. The jury panel has selected two students from the ‘Ion Mincu’ University of Architecture and Urbanism (UAUIM) in Bucharest as winners of the Troldtekt Award and a EUR 5,000 prize. Both the runners-up prize and the special prize go to students from Iran.

For the second consecutive year, a design solution from Troldtekt A/S has won the prestigious German Design Award. The award goes to Troldtekt® rhomb, which brings together sustainability, elegant design and good acoustics in a single wall solution. The German Design Council will officially present the award at a ceremony in February 2017.

Last year, Troldtekt A/S experienced growth of 15 per cent, and is also expecting double-digit growth for 2016. Troldtekt has therefore stepped up its extensive investment plans at its factory complex in western Jutland involving a total capacity expansion of almost 40 per cent.

The acoustic panel Troldtekt wave has won the Danish Building Industry Climate Award (Byggeriets Klimapris) which has just been presented at BYGGERI ’16 in Fredericia. Troldtekt wave is a Cradle to Cradle-certified natural product which is produced under eco-friendly conditions and can be returned to nature as compost.

Force4 Architects in Copenhagen and 4a Architekten in Stuttgart are the winners of the WOOD WOOL AWARD 2015. Troldtekt A/S is behind the competition, which honours contemporary architecture where wood wool panels enrich the architectural expression. A jury panel comprising internationally recognised architects has selected the two winners.
