Good acoustics and a healthy indoor climate without harmful chemicals are of great importance to the people who spend time in buildings every day. That’s why Troldtekt works with acoustic solutions that contribute to healthy environments in places such as schools, childcare institutions, offices, cultural buildings, sports halls and private homes.
Troldtekt acoustic panels are based on wood and cement or an alternative binder. We document the substances contained in our products and have also them tested for particle emissions and degassing, among other things. The products have been tested and approved under a range of indoor climate schemes.

The construction industry accounts for up to 40 per cent of the world’s total resource consumption and CO2e emissions. The carbon footprint can be reduced both in the production of building materials and in the operation of buildings. This can be achieved, for example, by optimising production methods and working with the circular economy.
At Troldtekt, we work to reduce energy consumption in production, use renewable energy and document the environmental footprint of our products, among other things. At the same time, we’re working on circular initiatives to make it both easy and value-creating to reuse, recycle or recover Troldtekt acoustic panels.

Wood is one of the raw materials in Troldtekt acoustic panels. As it grows in the forest, the tree absorbs CO2, which is stored in the wood while it constitutes part of a building. The stored CO2 is only released at the end of its service life, when the wood is burned, deposited in a landfill or decomposes.
At Troldtekt, we want all the wood in our products to be traceable back to responsible forestry operations. And we want forest owners to demonstrably take responsibility for the people who depend on the forest's resources. That's why all the wood in our panels comes from certified forests. This means that the finished Troldtekt panel is either PEFC-certified (PEFC/09-31-030) or FSC-certified (FSC® C115450).
