V-shaped groove design solutions win German Design Award
The latest two design solutions in Troldtekt’s design series are among the winners of the prestigious German Design Award 2023. The distinctive acoustic panels with discreet v-shaped grooves are receiving the award in the Excellent Product Design – Building and Elements category.
Troldtekt v-line has v-shaped grooves cut into the acoustic panels, providing great freedom to design distinctive rooms with superior acoustics. Available in two variants – 1way and 2way – these two design solutions have now received the most prestigious honour from the German Design Council. The German Design Council has named Troldtekt v-line as the winner of a German Design Award 2023. Troldtekt will be presented with the award at a ceremony in Berlin in February 2023.

We’ve experienced growing demand ever since the new design solutions were launched in spring 2022. Based on classic acoustic panels
According to the German Design Council, the German Design Award celebrates ‘outstanding design’ in response to today’s challenges, while also signposting the future. The award is being presented for the tenth time this year, and a jury has selected the winners in a total of 68 categories. Troldtekt v-line is being awarded the prize in the main category Excellent Product Design and in the subcategory Building and Elements.
The two new products are joining the nine original Troldtekt design series solutions that received a German Design Award 2020 after their launch in 2019.
Troldtekt v-line stands out through being based on the classic 25 mm Troldtekt acoustic panels, while all the other solutions in the design series are based on 35 mm panels. The v-line variants thus weigh less and can also be produced at very competitive prices.
Troldtekt v-line is certified at Gold level under the Cradle to Cradle sustainable design concept. The certification covers acoustic panels in natural wood/natural grey and painted in the popular standard colours white, black and grey.

The new Troldtekt v-line products feature either six or ten milled v-shaped grooves in each acoustic panel.

Half grooves along the longitudinal edges create an extra groove when two panels are installed side by side.

The short sides are where the 1way and 2way panels differ. The ends of the 1way panels are square-edged, while the ends of the 2way panels feature the same half v-shaped grooves as the longitudinal edges.

The Troldtekt v-line solution is based on the classic 25 mm Troldtekt acoustic panels.
