Meet Troldtekt at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen

Copenhagen is once again ready for three days of creativity, iconic design and innovative materials – this year under the common theme 'Dare to dream'.

3daysofdesign takes place on 12–14 June 2024 – in the city’s showrooms, shops, streets, galleries and other exciting cultural venues, which will host a wide range of events.

The main opening hours for all events are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on all three days, but there will also be evening events.

You can experience distinctive Troldtekt acoustic solutions at several of the design festival events:

• Exhibition in Lapidarium of Kings design hub

• TRANSCENDENCE exhibition on Refshaleøen

• Open showroom at Troldtekt in Vestergade

• A closed event for international architects.

Design hub in the Lapidarium of Kings

Troldtekt is exhibiting together with other interior design product suppliers among the lapidarum’s royal sculptures. The permanent exhibition in the Lapidarium of Kings on Slotsholmen includes more than 350 royal sculptures from the 16th to 18th centuries. During 3daysofdesign, they will accompanied – with respect for history – by newer design products.

In the Troldtekt part of the exhibition, you can experience good acoustics and distinctive design in completely new ways. Here, the sculptural approach continues with various installations of Troldtekt acoustic panels from the series of design solutions arranged as individual modules. As a guest, you can also view the exhibition from a seat made of red spruce, one of the raw materials in Troldtekt acoustic panels.

The design hub in the Lapidarium of Kings on Slotsholmen is open to everyone from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. 

TRANSCENDENCE exhibition on Refshaleøen

The TRANSCENDENCE exhibition takes place in one of Refshaleøen's industrial halls, which was previously used to produce ship engines. The exhibition will focus on materials and sustainability, and the otherwise bare hall will be filled with both new and recycled materials.

The aim is to get visitors to delve deeper into their perception of materials and gain a new understanding of the objects we create and consume.

Large and small companies as well as researchers, designers and craftspeople will all participate in the exhibition. What they have in common is that they want to influence the manufacturing, distribution and longevity of design. Troldtekt is one of the exhibitors, and we are participating with our acoustic panels based on the carbon-reduced cement type FUTURECEM™. The panels in natural wood (as well as individual panels in reddish colours) are stacked as life-size 'card houses’.

The TRANSCENDENCE exhibition is open every day from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, but from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on 14 June. Read more about the exhibition here.

Open-house in Troldtekt’s showroom

In our showroom in the heart of Copenhagen, you can experience Troldtekt acoustic solutions in different designs and colours. The showroom is located in a charming back building, where you can find plenty of inspiration for designing stylish spaces with good acoustics.

Among the acoustic solutions in the showroom is the entire Troldtekt design series, including the popular Troldtekt line with rectangular grooves in the surface and Troldtekt v-line with discreet v-shaped grooves.

The showroom in Vestergade 20C is open to everyone during 3daysofdesign from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm .

Inspirational tour for architects

During 3daysofdesign, Troldtekt invites groups of German, Norwegian and Swedish architects on a tour of the streets of Copenhagen to select design events.

The tour offers a combination of Danish design, good acoustics and gastronomy. Participating architects will visit the design exhibition at the Lapidarium of Kings, the showroom and rooftop bar at Fredericia Furniture and the Troldtekt showroom as well.

There will also be gastronomy and good acoustics, including lunch at Restaurant MARK and dinner at Christiansborg’s Restaurant Tårnet. Both locations feature Troldtekt acoustic solutions.

The tour is reserved for architects who have registered in advance.
