Breakfast talk: What works for sustainability?

Never before have so many building materials been marketed as being sustainable. Get help navigating the facts, terms and claims with Troldtekt as a participatant in DGNB’s online discussion at the international trade fair for architecture and building materials BAU ONLINE.

08.01.2021

The demand for sustainable building is growing year on year – as testified by the number of new building materials being marketed as sustainable.

However, if you are an architect or developer, what should you be looking for when wanting to make choices which are documented as being sustainable? Should you go for products made from recycled materials, or products that can be recycled at the end of their life? Or is it more a question about the general material health of each product?

These questions were on the agenda as Troldtekt was invited by DGNB to participate in a breakfast talk at the large building trade fair, BAU ONLINE. The fair, which was held online this year due to the corona situation, ran from 13 to 15 January 2021.

Partnership continued at BAU

Troldtekt participated in the debate as an expert from DGNB’s member organisation. The two other panellists were Dr Eike Messow from Sto SE & Co. KGaA and Mara Linn Becher from Interface Deutschland GmbH.

DGNB and Troldtekt have previously partnered at the BAU trade fair. In 2019, for example, Troldtekt products played a prominent role at the DGNB exhibition stand. Read more and see the photos here.
