About Troldtekt® ventilation
Acoustic ceiling with concealed ventilation as an energy-efficient solution
A Troldtekt acoustic ceiling with concealed ventilation is an energy-efficient solution that ensures fresh air without draughts, noise or visible installations.
In a room with Troldtekt ventilation, fresh air flows in at low pressure. In practice, the solution is an acoustic ceiling that also functions as an air inlet surface. This means that you're spared the sight of visible ventilation ducts and fittings.
The ventilation ceiling comprises a combination of active and passive Troldtekt acoustic panels. The active panels allow air to flow through them, while the passive panels have an air barrier on the reverse side which prevents air from passing through them.
It is the size of the space and the need for ventilation that determines the distribution of the two panel types, but usually 10–20 per cent of the ceiling is made up of active panels. The injection surface is thus considerably larger than that of most traditional ventilation systems, where air flows in through ventilation ducts.
In this way, the air is distributed evenly in the room with a low risk of draughts. This is also due to good air distribution in the cavity above the Troldtekt acoustic ceiling combined with an appropriate loss in pressure through the acoustic panels. The system is flexible, and makes it possible to change both the air distribution and the level of ventilation as required.
