Restaurant Anker is located in a brand new building that blends in well with the existing environment around the marina. There is a human scale to the area, with small sheds, boathouses, fish shops and club facilities. In order not to disrupt the scale, the roof has been designed as three double-pitched roofs.

In terms of the materials used, the new two-storey building also blends in perfectly. A combination of black wood and grey brick creates a maritime yet modern look. On arrival, customers encounter a sculptural brick chimney that adds a lot of character and identity to the building. The top floor is occupied by the data company Enversion, which shares the amazing location.

High-quality materials

Large windows and doors in the restaurant create a fluid transition between the indoors and the outdoors, providing ample ventilation and making it easy to serve al fresco diners. The entrance is placed in a sheltered corner created through the staggering of the exterior walls. The materials inside have been carefully selected, and match the high quality of the materials used for the facades.

The floor is cube parquet, which is extremely hard-wearing yet beautiful and very much in line with the maritime feel. The ceilings are clad with black Troldtekt acoustic panels to create a coherent ceiling surface and good acoustics. A grey brick wall separating the restaurant and the kitchen underlines the calm interior design. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, reinforced by the large, room-dividing curtains and the hardwood window frames.
