At Troldtekt, we believe acoustic comfort and a healthy indoor climate are important prerequisites for good building quality. Since 1935, Troldtekt acoustic panels have been made of wood and cement from Danish raw materials. We design, develop and manufacture the panels in Denmark, using local materials and under modern conditions.
Since 2017, Troldtekt has also been present in Sweden, as a subsidiary, Troldtekt AB, near Malmö, and in 2022, Troldtekt became part of the Irish group Kingspan Group, which supplies high-performance building materials to the global construction market.
Six good reasons to choose Troldtekt
Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM™
The cement in Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool gives the acoustic panels their strength, durability and fireproofing properties. However, the cement also accounts for virtually their entire carbon footprint. FUTURECEM from Aalborg Portland exploits the synergy between calcined clay and limestone filler. In this way, much of the burnt clinker in the cement can be replaced.
Looking at the product´s entire life cycle, Troldtekt acoustic panels based on FUTURECEM have a carbon footprint that is:
• 26 per cent lower than Troldtekt based on grey cement
• 38 per cent lower than Troldtekt based on white cement
You get the same good acoustics, effective fire performance and natural strength as with our classic panels.
Troldtekt is Cradle to Cradle Certified at Gold level
Since 2012, Troldtekt´s business strategy has been based on the internationally recognised Cradle to Cradle concept.
The vision behind Cradle to Cradle is a world where manufacturers design their products for a circular economy - i.e. that materials can be inforporated into new cycles.
All Troldtekt acoustic panels in natural wood and painted in standard colours, including the non-combustible A2 acoustic panel and new Troldtekt panels based on FUTURECEM, are Cradle to Cradle Certified at Gold level. Decisive for certification at the Gold level was that the new colour recipes for the standard colours white, grey and even black were used in production.
Troldtekt has been Cradle to Cradle Certified at Gold level since 2022.
