New homes in stunning landscape

Naturbydelen Ringkøbing K is a residential neighbourhood surrounded by wonderful countryside. Several owners have decided to install Troldtekt in their homes to further enhance the natural peace and quiet of the place.

Overlooking the inlet Ringkøbing Fjord on the west coast of Jutland lies Naturbydelen Ringkøbing K, a new residential neighbourhood developed by the Municipality of Ringkøbing-Skjern and Realdania By & Byg. The development includes 40 flats and maisonettes ranging in size from 84 to 150 square metres. All the flats offer views of the inlet – and with the beautiful heathland landscape right on their doorstep.

The construction company Frifeldt has built the homes, which have been designed by N+P Arkitektur.

Designed for the third age

Jan Kipker and his wife Marianne have moved into one of the new ground-floor flats at Strandkanten. They bought the property as a project sale, and moved in in June 2020.

“We mainly chose the flat because of the views and its wonderful location in such a scenic area. Not having to look after a garden was also a big appeal. Now we don’t return home to a garden full of weeds or a lawn that needs mowing every time we go away. This is our senior pad,” says Jan Kipker.

Light, views and more time

The entire west side of the flat, which spans a bedroom, living room and kitchen-diner, offers stunning views of the inlet. The flat is 106 square metres in size, and Troldtekt acoustic panels have been installed in all the rooms.

“We particularly like the panoramic windows, as they flood the rooms with light. The flat suits our needs perfectly,” says Jan Kipker, highlighting the improved acoustics:

“The acoustics are amazing. The Troldtekt panels have made a big difference. It’s much easier on your ears now when there are lots of sounds in the room.”

First floor with good floor plan

Lars Kvist and Irene Bechsgaard also moved into their new home in summer 2020. The couple live on the first floor with the same uninterrupted views of Ringkøbing Fjord.

“We wanted to cut the number of hours we spent cleaning and gardening. In addition, we’ve got fantastic views, and the layout of the flat works extremely well,” says Lars Kvist.

All the couple’s children have left home, but their four blended children drop by now and then, and they are able to stay over in the spare bedroom.

Vaulted ceiling and lots of light

The flat has a vaulted ceiling and lots of light as the facade facing the inlet is almost entirely glass. In addition, Lars Kvist makes a point of mentioning the good acoustics in the flat after the couple had Troldtekt acoustic panels installed.

“We now have good and comfortable acoustics without any reverberation. We wanted the acoustic panels to extend right out to the walls without any grouting or mouldings, and the carpenters have achieved this to perfection. We’re very happy with the final result,” says Lars Kvist.
